When scanning and adding dictionaries automatically, the dictionary display names are generated from their corresponding file names. I suggest that #NAME string should be used for that purpose for DSL dictionaries, and bookname= for StarDict dictionaries (not that familiar with Mdict, though). That is, the way GoldenDict and other dictionary software do that.

I did not implement this because I have always wanted to give my own aliases to dictionaries, something GoldenDict never supported. But indeed using those predefined names as the default display name is a better alternative to filenames.
