Backing up and restoring data in volumes is challenging.

Solution:

1. Use tar or rsync to back up volume data:

podman run -v <volume-name>:/data --rm alpine tar cvf /backup.tar /data

2. Restore data by running:

podman run -v <volume-name>:/data --rm alpine tar xvf /backup.tar -C /data
