Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Go to the Search Tool
2. Enter a search term
3. Watch one or more results
4. Go back to Search Tool
5. Search term is not saved

Search History is enabled in the settings page

Expected behavior

In the past, search terms would be saved in the history. This feature stopped working recently.

Actual behavior

Search terms are not saved.

Tried deleting search history and entering search terms. History is now blank.

Similar ticket #7707 filed in 2022 but closed as a duplicate of #6763. #6763 was a July 2021 Feature Request that was for something search-related but not a failure to store search terms.

Is Content > Search suggestions > Local enabled?

Yes, it is. I didn't know about the setting and hence have never touched it.

FWIW, I cleared the history as part of my testing. This morning I tried a couple of searches and they showed up in history.

Maybe a database bug then. Flushing the database could have caused it to disappear.
