[Android 11+] Cannot use external player

Steps to reproduce the bug

1.Navigated to settings and then video and audio subsection.
2.Scrolled down to use external player option.
3.Upon checking it,it gets enabled.
4.Now upon opening a video in any of the resolution,a dialogue box pops in saying that no stream player has been found and prompts to install vlc.

Expected behavior

In the earlier versions,it worked well and appropriately opened the media player and streamed the video very well however in the latest version, it's broken.

Actual behavior

Despite having two different media player,it doesn't work anymore
