Is Ventura supported by USBToolBox? Any known issues? #10
Comments
As far as I know it works fine, it works for me and other people I've asked also said it works fine. There's an open issue about stalls but I need more information to be able to track the issue down, currently I'm not confident it's USBToolBox's fault and not a configuration issue |
I do not get USBToolBox.kext or the UTBMap.kext loaded. They are just missing
No matter what I do – the pathes in config.plist are correct for sure. |
Check the OC log for any injection errors (please upload it), and please upload the log files generated by these commands (preferably right after a fresh boot): log show --last boot --predicate 'process == "kernel"' | grep -i USBToolBox > ~/Desktop/UTB_oslog.txt
sudo dmesg | grep -i USBToolBox > ~/Desktop/UTB_dmesg.txt |
I saw another issue with Ventura reported here: "... trying to do a fresh installation of Ventura. I followed the guide but when I try to boot from the USB, I'm still getting:
Then it hangs at a scrambled image and a stop sign. For trouble shooting, I copied the whole EFI folder to my current Big Sur installation, and it booted fine. I used kextstat -l to check loaded kexts and USBToolBox was loaded."

I have not upgraded yet, but I received the following comment in my USBToolBox guide thread:
Can you confirm this issue?
I would just like to make sure that USBToolBox still works before upgrading to Ventura
