Add Ability to Delete Duplicate Parameter Layers

When merging in the Layers submenu of the widget, there is no way to delete duplicates with suffixes if you happen to inadvertently copy a parameter over with the wrong name. Is there any way to add the ability to delete these erroneous parameters? They only sit in the menu creating clutter otherwise, and the only way to "delete" the items is to reload the project using an older copy of the controller.
