Motivation

#3314 has introduced a special page where E-mail addresses and phone numebrs are listed as potential use case of contact cards. There are sitll some possibilities to improve this suggestion page.

Proposed Solution

  • "Convert to contact" still being shown when a contact card for the same detail is being shown is confusing. I get that we do not 100% know if that really is the right contact, but I would at least indicate that a match was found next to the detail - for example, "(1 potential match found)" between the detail and the "convert to contact" link
  • maybe add a green check mark/red X to the left of details, when a contact card matching that specific detail is found/not found. Makes it immediately obvious which details still need a contact.
  • the contact card should be interactable. It's the largest thing in each collapsible box, and it is just kinda strange that it does nothing 😄 At the very least, hovering over it should highlight which details it can replace.
  • there needs to be a way to mark / hide false positives.
  • Take "mobile phone number" and "fax number" into the function searching for matching contacts. They are introduced after the initial release and are not considered in the contact suggestion.
