In order to handle limited-attendence functions (gaming tracks/cons, caffeklatches, etc), it would be good to have events that you could sign up for. This would require server user data, though (and definitely argues for server user data being stored on the same server or a server run by the con, as you'd also want to be able to get an event-side view and see who was signed up for each event).
