Starting / accepting a call only shows a grey screen #3822
Comments
We can't reproduce this on our side, can you please provide us with some logs? |
Did you try in lockdown mode? I suspect it might be related to that, given the one time popup I got. |
Oh right, lockdown mode.. for which the documentation says: but more importantly: I believe that's out of our hands and as such I'm going to go ahead and close this ticket. |
This works fine on Element without X, so this is a regression. Lockdown mode is also per iCloud account, not per device, so asking to go and disable lockdown mode on all your devices is quite unreasonable. Not supporting iPhones or Macs in lockdown mode is probably also driving the entire security community away to Discord or Signal. Please reopen. |
Okay fair, but I went ahead and raised it as an Element Call specific ticket here element-hq/element-call#3052 Meanwhile, what happens if you go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Lockdown Mode > Configure Web Browsing and uncheck Element X from there? |
Steps to reproduce
1.) Call somebody or get a call from someone and accept
2.) A new screen opens
3.) The screen is just grey with nothing rendered, the call isn't working either
Step 2.1 that only happens once: There is a popup that lockdown mode is active.
Outcome
What did you expect?
There should be some UI for a call, and there should be a call happening.
What happened instead?
Just a grey screen.
