just can't get images working on w11

ive been putting off this question for a while since i've made it work before on an older windows installation and linux but i just can't get it working right now.
what i've tried is:
fastfetch --logo /path/to/your/image.png --logo-type kitty-direct --logo-width <width> --logo-height <height>

when i do this the logo is empty and doesn't show

and in the config file:
