We should investigate if we can switch out our current implementation of barcode scanning across the app (for project QR code scanning and barcode questions) with the newer Google Code Scanner. This requires Play Services, so we'd need to be able to fall back in cases where the device does not support that.

We're hoping this could be a quick change, but if it takes longer than a day we should pause and rethink.
