Effects of golang native FIPS crypto to golang-fips

What is your view on the future of the golang-fips project, in the light of golang's plans to aim for native golang FIPS crypto module?

This golang issue golang/go#69536 states that:
"We aim to deprecate and hopefully remove Go+BoringCrypto once the module lands."

What effects do you foresee such deprecation having on golang-fips?

Speaking only about https://github.com/golang-fips/openssl, the Microsoft build of Go team will continue using and maintaining the OpenSSL backend for the foreseeable future. See https://devblogs.microsoft.com/go/go-1-24-fips-update/ for more info.
