Problem:
Today people press the "edit" button and are taken to the beginning of the questionnaire and need to navigate to the question they want to edit via the next/back buttons, which was not what they expected. Users expected to click on a specific question on the review page and go directly to that question to edit it.

"Edit button not intuitive as most prefer to click on area that needs amendment (11/18) first."

Proposed Solution:

  • User taps the specific question and get taken directly to the question they want to edit.
  • Add edit/pencil icon by each question to make it more obvious that the area is tappable and that's how to edit the question
  • Tappable area is the whole row, not just the edit button
  • (ideal) When the user is on the question itself show "cancel and save" buttons instead of "back and next" so that they can go directly back to the review page without needing to click through the entire questionnaire again.
