Hey @pakiessling, congrats on making progress on your upcoming publication! No we can't guarantee that the xenium images are lossless, because we need to convert the image to dtype I understand your concern, indeed using .ome.tif may be better for publication. |

Heya,
I am working on a publication and want to deposit my data in a repository.
I think the world is not quite ready yet to adopt Spatialdata for everything so I want to share really common file formats.
For the images from my Spatialdata object would it be enough to share the .ome.tif written for the Xenium explorer by Sopa.
Is this image lossless / enough to recreate the original Spatialdata object?
