What should this feature add?

I would love to see a feature that allows for restyling existing UV-mapped textures while ensuring that the new texture respects UV boundaries and edges.

Currently, when attempting to apply a new style (e.g., hand-painted effects) using Stable Diffusion, the results often do not align well with the UV map, leading to distortions or misaligned details. A feature that intelligently adapts the generated texture to fit within the existing UV layout would make this workflow much more effective.

Proposed Feature:

  • A mode that restyles an existing texture while maintaining UV integrity.
  • Options to control how much the generated texture adheres to the original UV structure.
  • Potential integration with texture projection or inpainting tools to refine problematic areas.

Would this be possible to implement? I’d love to hear thoughts on feasibility or potential workarounds!
