Rotate Wide Pages to Fit does not actually automatically rotate pages

Steps to reproduce

1. open chapter of manga that features 2-page spreads between 1-page pages
2. ensure "Rotate Wide Pages to Fit" option is ticked on for specific reading mode
3. navigate to 2-page spread. The wide page will not rotate to landscape mode automatically.

Expected behavior

The wide image should rotate automatically to fit into landscape mode. This function behaves properly/as expected on the most recent Mihon version on both devices.

Actual behavior

Pages remain in portrait mode, without any rotation. See images from both phone (Samsung s24) and ereader (supernote A5X2), replicated on both devices, including on fresh installs with settings reset.

As noted, this behavior is replicated across multiple devices, not only with synced library/settings but also on completely fresh installs. The rotate Wide Pages to Fit function works as expected on Mihon on both devices.

Update: I also am able to replicate this issue on my Legion Y700, completely fresh install of the preview build, no shared sources, no importing of previous data, etc. It can obviously detect wide pages, as when I have it set to zoom in on wide pages on any of my three devices it can do that just fine (not at all feasible for my use-case, as reading "split" spreads on eink is the worst thing in the world), so it's not a problem with the pages not being detected as "wide."

Final update: not sure if this can be replicated on stable, but on preview/dev build 578, ticking the "split wide images" while "rotate wide images" is also ticked will rotate the pages without splitting the wide images into two pages. that's what I wanted, even though this is a weird workaround, but I'm not complaining now that it works and I can use syncyomi on my home server instead of (just) syncthing on mihon lol. thought I would post it here for posterity/just in case this was happening to other users.
