Clarification on Intended Behavior of Programming Language Display in Different Modes

I'm not really sure that this is an issue, sorry if I post in the wrong place. In the rewrite mode, I have directly the programming language that I'm using, and this is extremely convenient. It is not the case for the normal mode. Is this the intended behavior? Am I doing something wrong?

So, let's say I'm coding in TypeScript and I take the rewrite command (C-u gptel-send r). I will see the following:

It is very cool because it sees the right time coding in TypeScript. I believe this is some kind of a lambda function.

However, if I do not use the rewrite function and I type C-u gptel-send or gptel-send The file type is not taken into account. So whatever the file type is, I get the following.

Is there a way to modify this behavior? I hope to have clarified my question. Please let me know if it is still not the case.

I missed that the same lambda function is in the normal menu as well. Sorry.

You can write your own functions with whatever dynamic message you want and add it to gptel-directives. The one labeled rewrite in the menu is intended for rewriting and does not work well with gptel-send.
