feature request: add news tab or feed

The old lichess app and the website have a feed that displays various news items like articles, tournament blogs, game reviews, etc. It also shows things your friends/followers did, e.g, published an article, created a team, liked a post, etc. Can something similar be implemented in the new app? It could be a dedicated news tab, just a feed on the homepage, or both.
