Before 2.0 release: Check updated links

Problem

With the change to the new API endpoints in Artemis 8.0.0, many previously sent / created links are no longer valid. Before the release, it should be checked that these changes do not lead to problems / inconsistencies for the app users.

The following entities are affected (may be non-exhaustive):

• Images in posts
• File uploads in general in posts
• Links to lecture slides or attachements
  • Linked in a post
  • In the lecture details
    feel free to add anything additionally that you found

Status

I am currently in exchange with the Artemis team, whether the clients need to deal with this, or there will be a global migration script for outdated links.

Additional points to consider

• Ensure that links created by uploading/linking content from within the Android app uses the updated api endpoints
• Update API calls in create_test_users.sh
• Check whether all course icons can be loaded successfully now (there seem to have been server issues after the api upgrade)
