Markdown parser seems to be very slow

As RiotX uses the Markdown parser from this library to parse messages, I should probably point out that parsing Markdown in a message leads to a three second delay. While this is being parsed, the message does not appear in the room.

When Markdown parsing is disabled, the slow down vanishes.
