Internal two way sync shows blank screen when not configured yet (confusing) #13693
Comments
I have the same problem, but on Graphene OS (Pixel 8a). Installed the app using F-Droid. |
Yea I love CalyxOS. It has a built in firewall (It's not VPN based) where I can deny certain apps access to internet. CalyxOS also has the ability to scramble the numbers on the lock screen, for a person with sweaty hands; this is a very much welcomed feature. How is Graphene OS? |
I saw the same blank screen on the stock OS as well. The app was installed from F-Droid. |
Yea, I tested out every variant of Nextcloud on Android. All of them show the same result. By "every variant", I mean; F-Droid as you said, github, google play, and aurora. |
The same happens on my device (Pixel 6a with stock Android 14, app installed from F-Droid). |
isn't it the same issue with a solution |
Thanks for the link. I selected a sync checkbox, and now there is an item in the internal two way sync page. I would say the user interface is confusing. The blank page doesn't explain anything. There seems to be no user manual for the Android app either. Instead of being a feature bug, maybe it can be considered a user interface bug. |
The sync still doesn't work for me as illustrated here. |
This is especially confusing because the fix notes for recent critical bugs explicitly say to check the two way sync configuration, so many users like me are being directed to this screen for the first time. |
This most recent client app update fixed this issue, IT WORKS! I be happy. |
Steps to reproduce
At first I thought the app on my phone was outdated, nope. Even if I update the app through getting an new copy through github, the issue persists.
When ever I go into my app settings and tap 'Internal two way sync' all I get met with is https://imgur.com/a/KMxetOY with no amount of content loading.
Expected behaviour
Tap the 'Internal two way sync' and expect it to sync my nextcloud mount with the app.
Actual behaviour
Get met with a black screen with a blue bar on top https://imgur.com/a/KMxetOY
