Hi,

I am trying to use NI9201, which is connected to a Win10 PC through a cDAQ-9171 chassis. However, when the GUI recognizes cDAQ-9171, it does not show input channels (attached Capture 1). When I select the "Swap to NI 9201" option, the GUI shows a corrupted view with overlapping options for 9171 and 9201 (attached Capture 2).

Would there be any way I can use a DAQ with chassis?

Thanks for working on this GUI,
Hiroyuki

Hi,

If you remove the cDAQ-9171 device, are you able to acquire data with the NI9201 alone?

Do you mean physically removing it? I believe NI9201 requires a chassis in order to connect to a PC with USB.

Ah I see, the plugin thinks the chassis itself is its own a separate DAQ device. If you start acquisition in either one of the pictured states, does any data come in? Or does an error show up in the console?

When I select NI9201, it gives this error and does not start recording:
"[open-ephys] ERROR DAQmx Error: Physical channel not specified. Task Name: DITask_PXI34669852
Status Code: -200099"

When I select cDAQ-9171, it gives the following error:
"[open-ephys] ERROR DAQmx Error: Specified operation cannot be performed when there are no devices in the task.
Task Name: AITask_PXI34563461
Status Code: -200477"
In this case, recording starts, but only events are recorded, and the 'continuous' folder does not record signals from DAQ.

Okay I see what's going on. Let me work on a solution and I'll post an updated plugin here for you to try early next week. Can you confirm which GUI version you are currently using?
