Use the de translation and not de_DE (or merge?

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The app-name should not be translated in my opinion. So i translated everything correctly in German (de), but i was not able to do the same in German (Germany) (de_DE) so there is still the old "Memories: Erinnerungen" there.

I could not find where to apply for the german team 🤷

You could add me to the german team or just take it from the de and merge it into de_DE.

For german we have two separate translations. de as informal and de_DE as formal.
The most complete (translation and review) is the formal one. And therefore we will not merge language translations
The formal language has a reviewer group (including me).
Due to the load of work and discussions in the past the languages are not aligned 100%

Which strings are you referring to?
Only the app name?

Some app names are translated e. g. calendar or contacts. Some not. There is actually no general rule. @Croydon fyi
For discussion of this topic please keep languages in mind which has no relation to english e. g. chinese

Thanks a lot. I also changed the translation in the description as well. I think it was 3 places/file or something.
