Our project, HPN-SSH (https://github.com/rapier1/hpn-ssh), a high performance implementation of the SSHv2 protocol based on OpenSSH, has been selected to receive a grant to explore the creation of a non-profit software foundation to oversee our continued work. Part of this process involves an NSF I-Corps training session. This training session is intended to help us understand our community better, build a functional business plan, and other tasks.
One of the requirements of our training is interviewing people within the community. In this case, the community would be anyone transferring large amounts of data across the internet. If you use SSH/SFTP/SCP or even HPN-SSH that would be even better but it’s not, in anyway, a requirement.
The interviews need to be conducted via zoom or in person. We might be able to use slack but I’m waiting on confirmation of that. We cannot do interviews via e-mail. We expect the interviews to last about 30 minutes.
If you have the time please contact me directly, or here, to set up a time or use our sign up sheet. We’ll be starting the interview the afternoon of July 16th and running though August 13th. If you have time to talk with us about HPN-SSH, data transfer tools you might use, and anything that relates to your remote access and data movement needs I’d appreciate it. Also, we are really trying to get interviews set up for next week as the trainers have stressed interviews in this time period.
