Is this project abandoned/dead?

What is the status and future plans for this project? The number of unresolved issues keeps growing, same for PR. Last release was on 17/12/2022. Should I be looking for other alternatives?

I just came across the documentation and the whole thing is almost exactly what I need for a project, but I want to make sure it will be maintained in the future.

I have been very busy building a company the last couple years, @springloadedco, and over the next 4 months I'll be spending a good chunk of my time modernizing the component with a new major release. I'd love to hear more about what the community wants for a next major release. The current v3 release has been stable for many years.
