Get BridgyFed to work for pixelfed -> bluesky? #1698
Comments
That's #39. In short, we can't reasonably easily do it from our end alone without at least some help debugging the issue. |
Oh, though with that account in particular the issue is that it was created too recently. See https://fed.brid.gy/docs#troubleshooting. We should be more clear about that. That's #758. |
Thanks @Tamschi! And Pixelfed is indeed now working for at least some people and instances. I think they made some changes on their end that improved interop, but honestly I don't know exactly what yet. It's possible that some of those changes are since their last release, 0.12.4, so pixelfed.social is working since it's running closer to head, but other instances aren't. |
Never mind, other instances are bridging ok too. Examples: https://bsky.app/profile/bastard.sheep.pixelfed.au.ap.brid.gy , https://bsky.app/profile/allison683etc.pixelfed.nz.ap.brid.gy |
Ok! So I should try to bridge the pixelfed account again, in two weeks then? :) |
Yup, sorry for the inconvenience. And, only one week! I recently lowered that req't. |
Awesome! No worries at all, I understand. It's worth waiting for. 🙂 |
I've seen this work for a few people.
I have a pixelfed account [email protected] , and I can with that account search and find the bridgyfed account on the fediverse. However, when I follow it, it does not follow me back , so no bridge gets created to Bluesky. Anyone who know what the issue might be? :)
