Add support for the RX 9070 and 9070XT #2344
Comments
Mesa 25 should be in to switch run this in the terminal to switch back to stable use If you get stuck for some reason you can hold ESC at boot (if you get taken to a grub> prompt type |
@HikariKnight thanks for the heads up ! No luck though, after rebasing to testing on my dual screen setup, the display wired to the RX 9070 XT still has the same behavior as in stable, looks like a firmware issue |
Single display (edid emulator) headless streaming rig here, all seems to be working from some quick testing, will report back if I see anything weird! |
Someone fixed a similar issue by setting their display color accuracy to "Prefer Efficency" instead of "Prefer Accuracy" you can boot |
@HikariKnight it works, thank you for the workaround ! |
Tried the testing branch with 9070 xt, no issues in any game i've tried, demanding or not. Too bad there is no driver frame generation on linux tho |
I found one problem though, but I'm not sure if it was there before, since i've installed bazzite after getting 9070 xt. Edit. Actually, I found a game that crashed the driver: Pinball FX. It starts, i select the table, game tries to load and bah - black screen, monitor is shutting down. Desktop effects were restarted due to a graphics reset |
The card requires linux kernel 6.13.5 with split lock detect off, Mesa 25, and the latest linux firmware.
