Current Publication Steps

The following high level steps are taken to publish the UNLOCODE this excludes the DMR process and handling of such this ticket is ONLY the publication of the agreed UNLOCODE directory.

Generate Directory

'Generate Directory' function produces a file list as below

User then checks each file (xml, html, csv, xls) manually

Generate HTML

Generate HTML function produces html files to check in \Locode\Directory\Files\HTML these are the country specific files by ISO country code.

Prepare Secretariat Notes

• Open Word file
• Update it (using previous as example)
• Print as a PDF file to include in release.

Generate the ZIP Files

• Add csv files and secretariat notes to a files.zip and rename to loc142csv.zip
• Add mdb + secretariat notes to loc142mdb.zip
• Add txt files + secretariat notes to loc142txt.zip

Re-Import to SQL

This is out of scope of the poc but it looks like this is to create the new release from which to work from within UNECE

Update Website

• Connect to typo3 site
• Upload the 3 zip files and secretariat notes to the folder Archive
• Upload html files + zip files + secretariat notes and overwrite existing files (the live version of the UNLOCODE directory)
• Manually update the web page https://unece.org/trade/uncefact/unlocode with the new version number i.e. 2024-2, modify the link to the secretariat notes.
• Manually update this page https://unece.org/trade/cefact/unlocode-code-list-country-and-territory plus update all links to the latest csv, mdb, pdf etc
• Update the 'latest news' section of the UN/CEFACT homepage here https://unece.org/trade/uncefact (see 29th July example)
