Xaw3d has been discontinued and reborn as libxaw3d, maintained by Xorg themselves. This commit creates the new formula and uses the latest version 1.6.2. Both xaw3d and libxaw3d are only used by one other formula in Homebrew, gv. This new formula needs to be accepted before gv will work again, as reported in Homebrew#10422. It's worth noting that this author finds `gv` to be a dreadful pdf rendering app, whereas OSX Preview does a fine job with those and with `.ps` files on Lion which it converts on the fly.

Note that recent versions of XQuartz include libXaw3d. An alternative to having a libxaw3d formula would be to rely on #12607 and specify a dependency on the appropriate XQuartz version. |

@2bits what do you think we should do here? Should gv grow a dep on the appropriate xquartz version instead? |

Yes I think gv requiring XQuartz is a good forward thinking idea. As long as XQuartz works well on Snow Leopard too, I don't see any downside. |

Sounds good. It looks like it will require the latest XQuartz (2.7.2). |
