Fixes spelling errors (#761)

* Fixes spelling errors

- Does not change anything in libs
- Some text editor auto whitespace removals
- Small improvement to the merge node description
- minor gramatical fixes

* Minor gramatical / spelling fixes to CHANGELOG.md

* Update 06-add-64bit-functions-and-fix-typos.patch

Revert fixes for patch
