j after zc unfolds region

If I fold a region/block with zc, then go down with j (trying to skip the folded region), it unfolds the region.

Related: #1004. Not sure if fixing this is possible without an upstream change. The fundamental issue is that VSCode doesn't expose any information about folds in its API.

How is this different from #4182? Helped me find that issue, because this issue is more recent, but that issue has all the discussion/workaround information.
