Will this work for any Symwave drive that doesn't have a password set?.
I have a 3TB MyBook WDBACW0030HBK.
thanks

Symwave security is implemented in just the right (wrong?) way that I can decrypt drives without needing a password at all. Symwave support is already in reallymine; you can try it and see if it works. Does this key sector not work?

Hi Andlabs, i haven't installed Reallymine, i'm a newbie in Linux / ubutu, trying to figure it out.
I was wondering if the Key that Mr maddoctor posted above, would be the same for all Symwave drives with no password.
i will try to install reallymine and see if it works on my drive.
thanks

You won't need to explicitly provide a key. decrypt will figure that out automatically. You may want to try the version at #38 to see if that recovers your drive successfully (since that issue is blocking further development of reallymine), or use the version I released on the Releases tab of the project page to get a slower but tested decryption.
