Zwift Click is not connecting to Zwift Control

Zwift Click Firmware was updated to the latest release 1.1.0 via the Zwift Companion App

I do follow the following procedure:

Zwift Click is connected to the QZ App - During the launch of the QZ App I get the message "Zwift Click is connected"
Tacx Neo Smart is connected to the QZ App - Tacx Neo ... found" is shown in the main screen of the App
When Zwift is launched I am able to choose QZ for Power, Heart Rate, Cadence etc.
Usually I connect all Tacx devices via Ant. Tried both. Connect via Ant and also QZ
Search the Click under controls: nothing is found.

Desktop OS: Windows 10

Smartphone

  • Device: Iphone 15
  • OS: 18.1

I can see the click connected to QZ, if you want instead connect the click to zwift (why?, only for the gears information? you can have also on qz on the actual version) you have to follow this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJl2zkQ2SuA and you need the newest beta of qz on ios (you can ask me this by email).

But first of all, let's see if virtual gearing is already working with the click connected to qz. Did you try? you should see change the gear number in the gear tile in qz

Thanks a lot for the very fast reply.

I like to use the Click to switch Gears in Zwift.

I am able to see gear tile and in qz and shifting gears does work (also with enabled big gear buttons)

But I am not able to see the Click, when I do search under Contols during Zwift Startup. Therefore I also do not see any gears information in Zwift and the resistance does not change when I do change gears in QZ (via Click)

as I said, in order to see the gears in Zwift you need the latest beta. But before this,

resistance does not change when I do change gears in QZ (via Click)

i would like to understand this: do you see the gear changing in qz? could you please send me a debug log in this scenario so i can check it? because the new beta is a step over this, so if this doesn't work, it's useless yet trying the beta.

I have tried to change gears in Zwift via QZ but the resistance does not change.

In Zwift I have connected the Tacx (Power, Cadence etc) via Ant. Should I use QZ instead to connect in Zwift to Power and Cadence?

Yes you must use qz for this otherwise you are cutting qz out

Thanks a lot, I am now able to switch the Gears :-) and the resistance changes in Zwift.

Do you see any possibility how to get the Click connected in Zwift (to show the gears)

Perfect, yes
send me an email to roberto.viola83 at gmail.com indicating this ticket and I will send you the new beta. Then disable the click from qz and follow EXACTLY my video

It seems the latest Zwift update has broken the possibility to show the gears in Zwift. Can you confirm this?

Thanks! I've never gotten "show gears on zwift only" to work. Is there a video about this? When activated, what should you select in zwift? When the clicker is connected to QZ, virtual gearing is disabled in zwift.

Google is very slow in these days, reviewing the app on the store, even the beta ones. For this reason, in order to check right now if the patch that I did is right, you can use the android build in the link (check at the bottom of the page in about 1 hour). In order to test it you need first to remove the current QZ version on your phone, install the one that you downloaded.
This version is a 15 minutes trial (you can restart it as many times as you want) and I can unlock it if you want, send me an email to [email protected] mentioning this ticket and that you are on android.

This now works fine again, thank you very much!
But do you have a guide on how to set up "show gears on zwift only"? I can't get this to work.

With the clicker connected to QZ? And all but controls(empty) in Zwift connected to Bluetooth QZ? Then I can't see the gears in Zwift.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding this function?
