I encountered an issue trying to run eggNOG-mapper web using cds as query, where the error message is
[31mDIAMOND databse /dev/shm/eggnog_proteins.dmnd not present. Use download_eggnog_database.py to fetch it [0m

The error is triggered within a minute or so of starting the run, and is replicated when I changed the database from eggNOG 5 to novel families. Can you please advise? Thanks! If it helps, jobs MM_nui7fghr and MM_r3ocszb7 were mine.

Thank you very much for reporting this. As I don't run eggnog-mapper jobs very often myself, without your help it would be difficult for me to be aware of the issue.

I am re-uploading the required files to where they should be, and hopefully in around 30' it should be working fine.

Thank you @Cantalapiedra! I managed to start a job earlier today without it prematurely terminating, so I'm keeping my fingers' crossed for interesting results. The server status has been the same for a few hours though, so I hope that this is not the case of one change causing a problem elsewhere.

Yes, definitely there is something working badly in the servers since the last recovery.

Server is UP again. Definitely, our servers network was not working properly, so I cannot rule out the possibility of further issues, but at the moment seems to be working fine again. Recent on going jobs seem unaffected by today issues ...

The server has been experiencing problems since at least 6/6/2024. It is down now. I will report back when it is already up and running. Sorry for the inconveniences and thank you for your patience.

Hi, thank you for your kind words and your patience.
We are having recently technical issues with the infrastructure in which eggnog-mapper runs.
We are making some tests later today, and hopefully we will recover it, but unfortunately we cannot promise it, because we depend on this infrastructure to make it work.
