The new c++ parser included in 1.33 is very buggy and results in a much worse development experience. It gets many things wrong, and even worse it's inconsistent. Please revert this change until the new one becomes more reliable.

I have posted my first few issues in the issue below, and will be adding more over the weekend.

An option to change the parser to the old actually usable one would work for me as well. Is there a way to do that?

I was able to install the extension manually to update the highlighting. It would be nice if this got updated, but I'm going to close this since there is a workaround.
