Use Circuit Python to build a gadget that lets you monitor the status of the systems you contribute to OpenMHz.
This is designed for the Adafruit MagTag - but you can take and adapt this code to work for other development boards.
I have the 9.x version of Circuit Python libraries installed. If you need another version, just install the same libraries from that version.
