Does AreaStore has the self argument?

Hello, @AFCMS! How are you doing? It's a shame that no one else joined our organization, but whatever... Can you please tell me if the AreaStore methods have a self argument? I can't understand, on the one hand, the to_string() method must have self (otherwise, what is it converting to a string?), but on the other hand, the from_file(filename) method doesn't need it.

UPD: The same question about InvRef: InvRef.get_location() or InvRef:get_location()?

I assume that obviously the second option is correct, but when I look at other methods, such as InvRef:is_empty(listname), it's not so obvious anymore and it seems that self is not needed.

Since you can use the methods with the : I think its implicitly passed to the function.

Anyways I think it doesn't matter here since the user don't implement the methods himself.

This matters because if a function no expects self but user calls the method with :, there will be a shift in the arguments and they will be passed in the wrong order.

Conversely, if a function expects self, but you call it through a dot, the exact same shift will occur.

I think since doc and actual mods uses the : I think it passes the self argument.

But if you declare the function with the : you can omit making the self argument explicit.

Sure, you're right. I know that I can declare function with :, I just not sure that self is actually expected in methods like AreaStore:from_file(filename).

Okay, I'll declare all methods with a colon, and later, when everything is ready, I'll have to test them and fix if necessary.
