This is a pretty fiddly edge case, but I just encountered this:

julia> w = [ contains(wanted,vers[i].package) ?
               -i*length(vers)^2 : i
             for i=1:length(vers) ]
syntax error: invalid comprehension syntax

Putting the for on the line above makes it work.

The problem is that we allow newlines to separate matrix rows, so if a newline appears before for then that is the syntax you're using.
