The web REPL gets confused when there are multiple connections from the same browser to the same server. To replicate, open a REPL connection in one browser tab, create a new tab, make another web REPL connection to the same server (the session name can be the same or something different), and then try to type commands into each tab. There will be crosstalk between the two sessions, and one will gain focus while the other appears frozen.

This occurs on both Firefox and Chrome. It occurs locally and for connections to julia.forio.com.

This same issue messes up Julia Markdown pages:

https://github.com/tshort/julia/tree/jlmd/ui/website/jlmd_readme.md

The symptoms are the same: crosstalk between tabs confuses everything.

It looks like the server gets the session ID from a cookie from the user. Multiple tabs within a browser all share the same cookies, so each tab tries to grab the same session. The easiest way around this would be to send the session ID along with the URL instead of with a cookie.
